Friday, August 6 Hike Mount Inez in Lewis, NY
August 6 is the birthday of suffrage martyr Inez Milholland!
That makes it a perfect day to celebrate her life and the mountain recently named for her. This is a special opportunity to hike Mount Inez (formerly Mount Discovery). The trail is on private property and Champlain Area Trails (CATS) has been granted permission for this event. Meadowmount School of Music has graciously allowed trailhead parking on their grounds, part of the original Milholland family estate. Start any time between 3:30 and 4:15. This is a self-guided hike of approximately 2 miles round-trip. A brief, informal gathering at the summit will take place around 4:45 or 5:00. Please sign up if you intend to join the hike.
